Special Instructions for printing
Carolyn Sandstrom has full copyright ownership to all images photographed by her. This includes negatives given to clients. They are to be used for personal use only. Clients are not allowed to sell, donate, or use Sandstrom images for photo contests or any other commercial use.
Take the envelope when you take in and pick up your prints. I have typed permission to use images for personal use, my initials signed nearby. They may ask to see proof that you have permission to print professional images. You can also have them check this info on my website. If you have a problem, have them phone me immediately.
Printing photographs is a highly subjective art. Every time you have prints made, expect them to differ slightly in lightness/darkness and contrast. Even sepia color can differ from one print to the next.
If you like your proofs, take the best one with the negatives when you get more prints made. Leave the proof with them so they can match the new prints to the proof.
If you are printing from negatives, please make sure that the numbers on back of proofs match the negative #.
If you are unhappy with the prints, never be afraid to say so. Printers will reprint if you are not satisfied. If you like the way a proof looks, you can give this to the printer and ask them to match it.
